Starlink Business delivers up to 220 Mbps download on the standard plan and 400+ Mbps on the Performance Kit. Upload speeds range from 25–40 Mbps depending on your plan. Gigabit speeds are planned for 2026 with no hardware change required for Performance Kit users.

Starlink's low Earth orbit (LEO) satellites operate at ~550km altitude — far closer than traditional geostationary satellites at 35,000km. This results in latency of 20–60ms, which is suitable for VoIP, video conferencing, cloud applications, and even real-time trading platforms.

The Starlink dish is engineered to perform in extreme weather including heavy rain, snow, and temperatures from -30°C to +50°C. The dish includes a built-in heater to melt snow accumulation. Minor brief outages can occur during severe storms, but service is generally very reliable in all conditions.
